Jim Clune left a corporate environment to start his own business, in part, because he was tired of large company bureaucracy. He founded Klune Industries, Inc. to develop a company that facilitates personal growth and provides security for its workers. Klune Industries management cares about the employees and customers. A family environment is fostered and continuous improvement is a working way of life at the company. Klune Industries has been involved in intensive process improvement for over two years. Several fully owned companies that were previously operating independently have moved into one location consolidating operations, streamlining processes, and dropping redundancies where they existed. The company has benefited from combining various resources and perspectives already in use. The culture at Klune Industries is very positive towards change with people willing to innovate and improve the end product. Top management has communicated effectively to all employees at Klune Industries the company's strategic service vision. The employees understand the primary company objectives and have great pride in their work and their company. The factory is clean, modern, and a pleasant place to work. Morale among workers is generally high. Jim Clune founded the company with his name because of the recognition he had built in the industry. However, he changed the first letter to a "K" instead of "C" because he wanted every employee, including his immediate family, to work for the entity of Klune Industries, not Jim Clune. Today, no personal parking spaces exist and all business cards are printed without titles. These are a few examples of policies and procedures that foster an egalitarian family atmosphere in the company. |
